DETROIT (9/20/2021) -- The University of Detroit Mercy men's soccer team will travel to take on the Bowling Green State University Falcons on Tuesday, Sept. 21, from Cochrane Stadium in Bowling Green, Ohio.
The game is set for 7:00 p.m. and can be seen live on YouTube.
The Titans enter the non-conference tilt at 1-2-2 overall, but will look to end a mini two-game slide.
The Falcons (5-1-1) come in fresh off back-to-back wins, one of which was a 3-0 final over Horizon League opponent Wright State. BGSU is currently ranked third in the United Soccer Coaches Association's North Region poll, trailing only West Virginia and Maryland.
Last Time Out
Detroit Mercy fell in their Horizon League opener 2-0 at Cleveland State on Saturday.
The match was scoreless until late in the 59th minute.
The Titans would outshoot the Vikings 18-9 in the contest and held a 10-3 advantage in corner kicks.
Kliewer Leads The Way
Detroit Mercy is led by the play of redshirt-freshman goalkeeper
Jonathan Kliewer, who ranks fourth in the Horizon League for goals against average (1.075), and seventh in the league in save percentage (.739).
Kliewer also has a shutout on the season, coming against Incarnate Word on Sept. 2.

Offensively the red, white and blue are led by redshirt-senior midfielder
Demetri Pliakos with one goal, one assist, and three points on 10 shots. Redshirt-senior defender

Ryan Halloran have each chipped in one goal for the Titans.
All-Time Series
Bowling Green leads the all-time series over Detroit Mercy, 18-8-2, but the last two meetings have been decided by one goal each, the latest coming in 2019. Prior to that, the two teams had not met since 2014.
The Titans are 4-8-1 all-time on the road in the match-up, but have won in their last three trips to Bowling Green.
