Brandi Washington scored in double figures for the sixth straight game with 12 points and five rebounds as Detroit Mercy dropped a hard fought game before falling to a late 13-2 four quarter run that moved Robert Morris past the Titans, 68-56, on Sunday afternoon.

Monique Pruitt had seven points going 3-for-6 from the field hitting her first 3-pointer of the season. Grad student

For the game, Detroit Mercy (0-20, 0-13 HL) shot 81.3% (13-for-16) for the first time this season. Robert Morris (9-10, 7-7 HL) also got 25 points off 25 Titan turnovers.
Detroit Mercy opened the fourth quarter on a 11-5 run capped off by a pair of Murua free throws that tied the game at 51-51 with 5:54 left. The Colonials then responded with a 13-2 spurt to retake the lead at 64-53 with 1:13 remaining. Murua and Lewis each split a pair of free throws to get the lead to single digits, 62-53, but the Titans were forced to foul as time winded down. RMU was able to seal the deal from the free throw line for a 68-56 victory.
Once again, RMU opened the second half on a 8-0 run but Detroit Mercy clawed back to trail by only six points, 46-40, heading into the fourth quarter.
The second quarter was a game of runs as Powell hit a 3-pointer that moved Detroit Mercy's run to 12-0 giving the Titans a 17-11 lead. RMU responded with a 12-0 run of their own to retake the lead at 23-17. Murua had a nice take for a layup to end the Colonial's run. She then added another layup and converted on an and-1 opportunity followed by a Powell jumper that pulled the Titans within three points at the half, 29-26.
Detroit Mercy ended the first quarter on a 5-0 run to pull within one point, 11-10.
