Taylor Stanley each had a shot on goal. However, Detroit Mercy could not get the equalizer falling 1-0 to Purdue Fort Wayne in #HLWSOC action on Senior Day. This was the first setback at home as the Titans finished the regular season 5-1-1 at Titan Field.

Detroit Mercy (6-9-1, 4-5 HL) held a 15-5 shots advantage and 7-2 corner kick advantage over PFW (9-32-5, 5-1-3 HL) but could not cash in on one of their chances to tie the game.
After the Mastodons took a 1-0 lead early in the match off a break away, the Titans' two best chances for the equalizer came later in the first half.
In the 16th minute, Lodato fired a well-placed shot that PFW goalkeeper Samantha Castaneda was able to extend her arm and tip the ball up over the crossbar.
Piechocki also had a quality chance in the 26th minute as she ripped a shot to the low left side but Castaneda was able to dive and extend to turn the shot away.
The Titans close out the regular season with a Metro Series showdown at arch-rival Oakland on Wed., Oct. 26 at 7 pm.
