DETROIT (2/1/2022) -- The University of Detroit Mercy men's basketball program has added another game to its schedule as the Titans host Rochester University on Monday, Feb. 7.
Game time is set for 7:00 p.m. on Dick Vitale Court in Calihan Hall and will be broadcast live on ESPN+.
The game was added to keep ahead of the NCAA minimum game requirements for postseason play in case there are any more cancellations in the final month of the season. NCAA guidelines require an institution to have a minimum of 25 games to qualify for team selection as an at-large or automatic qualifier in the NCAA Division I Men's and Women's Basketball Championships. A maximum of four games can be played against non-Division I institutions. Institutions may count one conference tournament game in which the team participates towards their minimum number of required games.
The Titans are 4-0 all-time against Rochester, another opponent from the NAIA and the Wolverine Hoosier Athletic Conference (WHAC).
