ANN ARBOR (2/18/22) -- The University of Detroit Mercy men's track and field team traveled to Ann Arbor, MI. for the Silverston Invitational and saw several top-five finishes across the board. 

Photo Finish 
In the 60-Meter Dash, Elijah Major edged out teammate Dante Bassham in a photo finish that saw Major take gold with a time of 6.863 while Bassham took silver at 6.864 seconds. The times for both runners is good for third all-time in Titans history. To date, the photo finish was also the fastest time in the Horizon League this week and sits third best on the indoor season. 

In the 200-Meter Dash Major placed second at 22.21 seconds while Bassham earned fourth at 22.49 seconds. 

Lanfear Tops High Jump
Daniel Lanfear set a new personal record in the High Jump with a 2.05 meter height and scored gold. His height currently sits as the top height of the weekend in the Horizon League and ranks third in the league on the indoor season. 

Lanfear previously had jumps of 2.00 meters and 1.95 meters at the Akron Invitational and Jack Skoog Open during the indoor season.
