Aidan Bishop scored two goals and senior
Tyler Hart made a career-high 15 saves, but the Titans couldn't get control of the game as the University of Detroit Mercy men's lacrosse team fell, 18-8, at High Point on Saturday afternoon.
Bishop also added two caused turnovers and four ground balls. Graduate senior
Paul Manuszak posted a season and game-high ground balls, while freshman
Evan DeVito tallied a season-best three caused turnovers.

Nolan Graalman all found the back of the net. Sophomore
Connor Baratta was 11-of-21 at the faceoff with three ground balls and Loken added four GB's.
The Titans (1-5) scored first as Birney beat the goalie just 49 seconds into the contest. High Point (5-4) would answer with five-straight goals before Erskine fed Loken for a goal in the first.
Detroit Mercy netted two goals in the second as Majick and Bishop scored, but the Panthers took an 11-4 lead at the break.
Bishop and Erskine scored back-to-back goals in the third and Figuerias and Graalman netted markers in the fourth.
Hart tried to keep the Titans in the game making eight saves in the first and had 10 at the half.
The Titans had 32 ground balls in the game and were credited with nine caused turnovers.
The red, white and blue will return home next week in a Titan lacrosse doubleheader with the men facing Robert Morris at 11:00 a.m. and the women taking on the Colonials at 2:00 p.m. with both games at Seaholm High School in Birmingham.

- This was the first career meeting between the two schools
- The Titans are now 14-7 all-time against current members of the SoCon
- Detroit Mercy came into the game leading the ASUN and is 43rd in the nation with 30.0 ground balls per game
- Loken had six goals in his career - five last season- coming into the game
- Bishop has now scored in three-straight games
- Manuszak has at least six ground balls in four games this season
- DeVito had three caused turnovers coming into the contest
- Manuszak was 24th in the nation with 6.20 ground balls per game and now has 195 career ground balls, third in school history and 22 out of second place
- Erskine now has 125 career points for fourth in school history, 21 away from third place, while his 82 goals are now tied for second in school history with Alex Maini
