DETROIT (3/4/2022) -- The University of Detroit Mercy women's lacrosse team will step outside of conference play as the red, white and blue get on the road to battle Butler on Sunday.
Game time is set for 2:00 p.m. and will not feature a broadcast, but will have live stats.
The Titans are 3-1 all-time against Butler starting the match-up with three-straight wins before falling on the road in the last game in 2020. Detroit Mercy is 1-1 all-time on the road in the series.
Detroit Mercy is 3-8 all-time against schools from the BIG EAST, but all of that is between games with Butler and Marquette.
The Titans are 0-4 on the season with two of those setbacks in conference play and non-conference losses to nationally-ranked Michigan and Marquette.
Sophomore
Cat Kopchia leads the team with 10 points and eight goals, while senior
Elise Harder has five goals, six points and 10 draw controls. Senior
Taylor Cantelon has a team-high 16 draw controls and both graduate senior
Maddie Johnson and junior
Hannah Shrader have made 17 saves in net.
Butler is 1-2 on the season with an 11-10 victory over Kent State and losses to Central Michigan (16-11) and Louisville (22-8).
Following the game, the Titans will get back to MAC action as they visit Youngstown State next Saturday.
