INDIANAPOLIS (4/6/2022) -- Once again, University of Detroit Mercy men's basketball senior
Antoine Davis is wearing the scoring crown in the Horizon League as the final stats for the 2021-22 season are now set in stone.
Davis led the Horizon League and was third in the nation in scoring at 23.9 points per game as he became the first player in HL history to top the league in scoring four times, passing Loyola's Alfredrick Hughes who did it in three-straight seasons (1983, 1984, 1985). Davis also finished top-four nationally for the fourth-straight year (26.1 for third in 2019, 24.3 for fourth in 2020 and 24.0 for third in 2021).
Davis led the league and was second in the nation in three-point field goals per game (3.90), the fourth-straight season that he has placed in the top seven nationally (4.4 for second in 2019, 3.37 for seventh in 2020 and 3.77 for second in 2021).
He was also the conference leader and fifth in the country in total 3-pointers (113), leading the HL and 23rd in the nation in free-throw percentage (88.2%), the league leader and 58th in DI in three-point field-goal percentage (37.9%). His 694 total points were second in the league and 12th in the country, 36.59 minutes per game second in the HL and 13th in DI, 238 field goals were third in the league and 22nd in the nation and his 4.4 assists per game were third in the conference and 76th overall.
Junior
Madut Akec was eighth in the Horizon League with 7.0 rebounds per game and 11th with 2.1 offensive rebounds per contest, while his six double-doubles was tied for the sixth-most in the conference.

DJ Harvey were also tied for 10th in the HL with three double-doubles.
As a team, the Titans led the Horizon League and were seventh in the nation with 10.4, 3-pointers per game, topped the conference and 24th in the country in three-point field-goal percentage (37.4%) and committed the fewest turnovers in the HL at 11.6 per game, 82nd in the country. They were also second in the conference and 14th in the nation in free-throw percentage (77.6%).
