ATLANTA (7/14/2022) -- The Atlantic Sun Conference announced the 2023 league slate today with the University of Detroit Mercy men's lacrosse team set for four ASUN home games.
The 2023 ASUN conference will feature four new teams in Jacksonville, Lindenwood, Mercer and Queens. With the league set at 10 teams, six will earn a playoff spot with the top two seeds receiving byes to the semifinals. The entire 2023 ASUN Championship will be held at Robert Morris.
The Titans will open the conference schedule on the road at one of the four new league members Mercer on March 18 before coming home for two straight against Utah (Mar. 25) and Robert Morris (Mar. 29), the two teams who were in the ASUN Championship last year with RMU winning it all.
Detroit Mercy will then hit the road to North Carolina to face newcomer Queens (Apr. 1) before coming back home to battle another newcomer to DI and the ASUN in Lindenwood (Apr. 8).
Another two-game road trip follows as the red, white and blue head to the last newcomer back in the ASUN Jacksonville (Apr. 12) before traveling to Air Force (Apr. 15).
The final two games of the year have the Titans hosting Bellarmine on April 22 and visiting Cleveland State on April 29 before the league playoffs start on May 2.
The Titans were 1-4 in ASUN action in their first year in the newly formed league in 2022.
