DETROIT (10-3-23) - Sophomore
Quinn Tews posted his second shutout of the season making three saves as Detroit Mercy played visiting Bowling Green to a 0-0 draw in non-conference action on Tuesday night at Titan Field. With the draw, the Titans are now unbeaten over their last five matches for the first time since the 2017 season.
Detroit Mercy's (3-6-2) back line stood tall as they turned aside all six BGSU (5-3-3) corner kick set pieces.
Two of the Titans' best scoring chances came in the second half as freshman
Drew Pierson lined up a free kick that went over the Falcons' defensive wall but just missed the upper right 90 at the 68th minute.
Shortly after in the 74th minute, redshirt freshman
Clayton Lafayette connected on a shot to the bottom right side but could not get it past BGSU goalkeeper Brendan Graves who came up with the save.
