Titans See Unbeaten Streak End with Setback at Milwaukee

MILWAUKEE, Wisc. (10-7-23) - Junior Andri Myftari recorded two shots with one on goal as Detroit Mercy saw its five-match unbeaten streak come to an end with a 1-0 setback at Milwaukee in #HLMSOC action on Saturday afternoon.

"Away conference games are always going to be tough and we knew that going into the game," said Head Coach Nate Kopunek. "It was a relatively even game overall but they capitalized on their chance and we unfortunately didn't. We will continue to stick to the process, learn from this, and now concentrate solely on the next important home conference game in front of us against Purdue Fort Wane next week."

The Titans (3-7-2, 2-2-1 HL) posted seven total shots with sophomores Guershom Sylvain and John Nino and freshman Josh Copeland each recording a shot on goal.

Sophomore Quinn Tews made for total saves and didn't allow a goal in the first half before Milwaukee (4-6-1, 2-3 HL) posted the game-winner in the 55th minute.

UDM continues #HLMSOC play at Titan Field against PFW on Saturday, Oct. 14 at 7 p.m.
