DETROIT (2/7/2023) -- After setting a career-high with five goals, University of Detroit Mercy men's lacrosse senior Ryan Birney was named the Atlantic Sun's Offensive Player of the Week.

Birney notched five goals for his fifth career hat trick at VMI in the season opener. His previous high was four last year at home against the Keydets.

He is the third Titan to earn the ASUN Player of the Week accolades as Luke Majick and Brett Erskine '21 were Offensive Players of the Week last year. 

The Titans will be back in action this week as they travel to High Point for an 11:00 a.m. contest.
