DETROIT (4/11/2023) -- University of Detroit Mercy freshman
Drew Kessenich was honored for his outstanding performance in the win over Lindenwood as he was named to the USILA DI Team of the Week.
Kessenich scored five goals, including the game-winner, and had two assists in Detroit Mercy's 17-16 come-from-behind win over Lindenwood to help keep the red, white and blue in the playoff hunt. He assisted on a goal to start the Titans' 4-0 run to close the game and scored the winner with 5:45 left.
It was his third hat trick of the season as he tallied back-to-back hat tricks, with three goals at nationally-ranked Ohio State and three goals and an assist at Mercer. He now leads the team with 25 points on 17 goals and eight assists, second on the team in those two statistics, and his 17 goals are 10th most among DI freshmen.
The Titans will be back in action tomorrow at #14/16 Jacksonville.
