Tim Allos scored a goal while junior
Andri Myftari scored his first career goal off a penalty kick giving Detroit Mercy a 2-1 lead late in the second half. However, IUPUI scored a goal in the 89th minute off a free kick allowing the Jaguars to escape Titan Field with a 2-2 draw in #HLMSOC action on Homecoming Saturday afternoon.

Saeid Jannoun made a run deep down the right side and sent a cross into the box. The ball went in front of sophomore
Guershom Sylvain, defected off an IUPUI (4-3-3, 3-0-1 HL) defender and bounced backward towards Allos who ran up and delivered a low strike to the left corner past Jaguar goalkeeper Lucas Morefield giving Detroit Mercy (3-6-1, 2-1-1 HL) a 1-0 lead.
Nine minutes into the second half, UDM was called for a foul inside the box. IUPUI's Lukas Hackaa converted the ensuing penalty kick for the equalizer.
Detroit Mercy sent a long ball into the box where IUPUI's Morfield came off his line and committed a foul resulting in a red card inside the box during the 79th minute. The Titans returned the favor as Myftari scored on the penalty kick beating new Jag goalkeeper Bryson Najarian putting the Titans up 2-1.
It appeared UDM was well on the way to handing the Jags their first conference loss of the season until the Titans were called for a handball just outside the box in the 89th minute. Hackaa stuck once again as his free kick shot went over the wall into the net to level the game at 2-2 keeping IUPUI unbeaten in conference play.
Detroit Mercy resumes non-conference action with a game against Bowling Green on Tuesday, Oct. 3 at 7 p.m.
