ALLENDALE, Mich. (1/26/2024) -- Graduate senior 
Zachary Zaborney posted the best finish on the day for the Titans with a silver in the triple jump as the University of Detroit Mercy men's track and field team competed in the Bill Clinger Classic at Grand Valley State on Friday.
Zaborney recorded a leap of 12.96-meters in the triple jump and was also seventh in the long jump at 6.24m.
Freshman 
Christopher Russelburg claimed fourth in the 3,000-meters with a season-best time of 8:37.91, while senior 
Evan Eding hit 12.47m for fourth in the triple jump.
Junior 
Cody Bartlett placed fifth in the high jump with a mark of 1.91m and senior 
Gabriel Baumchen made the finals of the 60-meter hurdles and was seventh in 8.95. 
A big PR on the day was turned in by sophomore 
Joshua Otten, who registered a personal best in the mile with a time of 4:15.91 for 11th in the race, and the ninth-best time in school history. 
The Titans will be back in action next Friday as the team travels to the Buckeye State for the Akron Invite.
