In addition to the late run, Detroit Mercy (3-1) shot a season-best 10-for-17 (58.8%) from 3-point range, which proved to be the difference.

Emaia O'Brien posted a team-high 18 points, going 4-for-6 from 3-point range and a perfect 4-for-4 from the free throw line, while fifth-year senior
Aaliyah McQueen scored 15 points with 12 coming in the second half, going 5-for-7 from the field and 3-for-4 shooting from long range.

Jasmine Edwards had a solid all-around game once again, just missing a double-double with nine points and eight rebounds with two assists, three steals, and two blocks defensively. Freshmen

After trailing 29-23 at the half, UDM outscored Western Michigan (1-4) 21-15 capped off by a buzzer-beating 3-ball from O'Brien tying the game a 44-44 heading into the fourth.
Hooper opened the frame with the first of her two and-1 conversions, followed by a 3-pointer from McQueen for a quick 6-0 spurt. The Broncos scored the next five points before a pair of Starks free throws gave UDM a 52-49 lead. WMU added a free throw and a 3-pointer to move ahead 53-52.
A pair of McQueen free throws sparked the Titans' game-closing run as she followed with a 3-pointer, steal, and layup giving the Titans the lead for good at 60-55. After Edwards added a layup, Hooper added her second-and-1 conversion, followed by a clutch 3-point bucket by O'Brien to cap off the run and seal the game.
WMU jumped out to an 11-3 lead before UDM closed the quarter on an 11-1 run sparked by three-point buckets from McQueen, O'Brien, and Lassan's first collegiate 3-ball to lead 14-12 at the end of the first quarter.
WMU opened the second quarter with a 6-0 run to move ahead 18-14 before the Titans went on a 6-0 spurt to regain the lead 20-18. However, UDM would only score three more points the rest of the frame to trail 29-23 at the half.
Detroit Mercy will play its third straight game against in-state rivals when Eastern Michigan comes to Calihan Hall on Tue., Nov. 26 at 7 p.m.
