Men's Lacrosse Reveals 2025 Schedule

DETROIT (11/26/2024) -- The University of Detroit Mercy men's lacrosse team will gear up for its first season in the Northeast Conference with 11 games as head coach Charlie Hayes '18 announced the 2025 slate today.

After an exhibition at Notre Dame for its lone preseason tune-up, the Titans will start the year with four straight road games. They will begin at Ohio State on Feb. 4, followed by a trip to Jesuit-rival Marquette on Feb. 8 and ending the month at Bellarmine on Feb. 22.

March will have the Titans fly out to Virginia to battle Hampton on Mar. 7.

The Northeast Conference will fill up the schedule the rest of the way as the home slate starts with a familiar face in Robert Morris on Mar. 15 in the NEC opener for both schools. The Titans will stay in conference play and head out to LIU (Mar. 22) before returning home to face Le Moyne on Mar. 29.

Another trip to Virginia will see the Titans face VMI (Apr. 5) before back-to-back home games with Wagner (Apr. 12) and Mercyhurst (Apr. 19) before closing out the regular season at Cleveland State on Apr. 26.

The NEC Championship will feature the top four schools battling it out for the right to play in the NCAA Tournament on May 1 and May 3, at the regular season champion.

Hayes is in his first year as head coach for his alma mater after serving as an assistant coach for six years. The program returns 31 letterwinners, including 11 of its 16 goal scorers, most of its defense and starting goalie from a season ago.
