Aaliyah McQueen and graduate student
Emaia O'Brien each added 18 points to complete the trifecta leading Detroit Mercy to a 67-56 win over Wright State snapping a 14-game skid to the Raiders on Wednesday night in #HLWBB opening action. With the win, the Titans are off to a 5-1 start for the first time in 39 years since the 1985-86 season.

Freshman
Kailey Starks chipped in with five points grabbing a career-high seven boards with a career-best three assists.
After trailing 18-10 in the first quarter, UDM went on a 14-4 run into the second quarter holding WSU (2-6, 0-1 HL) to only eight points in the frame to trail by a point, 26-25 at the half.
The third quarter proved to be the difference as the Titans outscored the Raiders 23-12 to take a 10-point lead, 48-38 into the final frame.
UDM extended their lead to 16 points at 54-38 to open the fourth quarter, capped off by O'Brien's four-point play, before the Raiders responded with a 12-0 run to pull within four points, 54-50, at the 5:01 mark.
O'Brien added a jumper, followed by her third 3-point bucket, moving the lead back to nine points at 59-50. The Raiders cut the deficit to five points, but that would be as close as they could get as UDM closed the game out from the free throw line down the stretch to secure the HL win.
