Titans Open Up Windsor Challenge On Friday

Freshman Joshua Neary started his heptathlon debut on Friday
DETROIT (2/9/2024) -- Freshman Joshua Neary made his collegiate debut in the heptathlon as the University of Detroit Mercy men's track and field team opened up the Windsor challenge on Friday.

Neary completed four events in the heptathlon on day one, posting a pair of fifth-place finishes in the 60-meters in 7.48 and in the high jump with a mark of 1.75m. 

In the triple jump, graduate senior Zachary Zaborney was 10th with a leap of 12.49-meters, while senior Evan Eding was right behind him taking 11th in 12.15m. 

Day two of the Windsor challenge will get underway tomorrow at 11:30 a.m.
