CHARLESTON, Ill. (3/31/2024) -- Junior
Cody Bartlett won the high jump, and two other Titans claimed third in their respective events as the University of Detroit Mercy men's track and field team started the year at the EIU Big Blue Classic this weekend.
Cody Bartlett took home gold with a leap of 1.95-meters, while also placing fourth in the triple jump at 12.66.

Zachary Zaborney was third in the triple jump with a mark of 13.53m and fifth in the long jump at 6.51m, while sophomoreÂ
Jaden McKenzie finished third in the 400-meters in a time of 49.29.
Sophomore
Joshua Otten ran 4:03.11 for eighth in the 1,500m and freshmanÂ
Christopher Russelburg was ninth in the 3,000m in 15:17.08.Â
The Titans will return to action next Saturday, Apr. 6, as the red, white and blue compete in the Golden Grizzly Invitational at Oakland.
