Bul Kuol will play for the inaugural South Sudan Men's Basketball National Team at the 2024 Olympic Games in Paris, France. Kol plays basketball professionally for the Sydney Kings of the National Basketball League.
Kuol made the most of his lone season with the Titans helping lead UDM to a 12-10 overall record and Horizon League quarter-final appearance during the COVID-19-shortened 2020-21 season. Kuol earned All-Horizon League Third-Team honors after finishing 13th in the league in scoring at 15.5 points per game and 16.4 points in conference games while ranking sixth in 3-point field goals per game (2.4) and 11th in field-goal percentage (45.5%). He scored in double digits 17 times in 20 games with four 20-point outings.
Kuol also ranked third in the HL and 31st in the country in minutes per game (36:16), sixth in the conference, and 97th in the nation in 3-point field goals per game while recording 4.9 rebounds, 2.1 assists, and 1.3 steals per game (10th HL).
South Sudan opens Group C play against Puerto Rico at the Olympic Games on Sunday, July 28 at 5:00 at E.T.
