DETROIT (9-28-24) - Sophomore
Drew Pierson's second goal of the season was a thing of beauty as he scored off a corner kick in the second half to lead Detroit Mercy to a 1-1 draw against Northern Kentucky in #HLMSOC action on a rainy night at Titan Field on homecoming Saturday.
Redshirt Sophomore
Viktor Sulc was solid in goal making three saves while facing 18 shots.
After a scoreless first half, mainly due to the rainy weather conditions, Detroit Mercy 1-6-2, 0-1-2 HL) broke through in the 50th minute with Pierson's sensational goal. He squared up and bent a corner kick high over traffic into the back right corner of the net giving the Titans a 1-0 lead.
However, NKU responded with the equalizer just nine minutes later.
Sophomore
Josh Copeland had a solid match with four shots and almost had the go-ahead goal in the 87th minute. He got the ball in space just inside the top of the box and fired a shot that rang off the left goalpost.
