INDIANAPOLIS (1/20/2025) -- University of Detroit Mercy men's basketball rookie Ryan Kalambay tallied season highs for his first career double-double, and for that, the Horizon League honored him as its Under Armour #HLMBB Freshman of the Week.

Kalambay posted a season-high 13 points and 11 rebounds against #MetroSeries-rival Oakland. The Canadian big man was 4-of-8 from the field and 5-of-6 at the line, also registering an assist, a block and a steal in 31 minutes of action.

He is the second freshman to win the award, as Nate Johnson garnered it back in November. 

Kalambay and the Titans will be back in action when they visit first-place Cleveland State on Wednesday.
