Maya Anderson added a career-high 11 points, going 5-for-6 from the charity stripe as Detroit Mercy fell 102-53 to No. 6 Michigan on Wednesday evening at Calihan Hall. UDM shot a season-best 21-for-25 (84.0%) from the free throw line.

Jackson had six points, going 2-for-2 from the foul line. Freshman Naïma Diawara connected on her first career triple while

Both team defenses were on point to open the game, with Michigan (6-1) holding a 12-4 lead by the first media timeout. However, the Wolverines closed out the frame on a 19-2 run to lead 31-6 going into the second quarter.
Detroit Mercy's (1-4) offense got 3-pointers from McQueen and Diawara, along with an and-1 conversion by Lassan to score 12 points in the second quarter to trail 50-18 at the break. For the half, UDM got good looks overall but just couldn't get the shots to fall.
The Titans had their best offensive output in the third quarter, with 19 points off two triples and going 9-for-10 (90.0%) from the free throw line, followed by 16 points in the fourth quarter. Michigan's size down low proved to be a huge factor, scoring 60 points in the paint while adding 27 points off turnovers.
Detroit Mercy will play the third team from the Mid-American Conference against Eastern Michigan on Sunday, Nov. 30, at 1 p.m. at Calihan Hall.
