ALLENDALE, Mich. (2/14/2025) – Freshman James Wallace tied his personal best in the 200-meters, while junior Jaden McKenzie ran a season best and indoor personal record in the 400-meters as Detroit Mercy competed at the Grand Valley State University Big Meet on Friday. 

Wallace ran a time of 21.97 seconds in the third heat of the 200, while McKenzie placed ninth in the 400, clocking a time of 48.56 seconds. 

In the 60-meter dash, Wallace crossed the line in 6.97 seconds, while sophomore Nicholas Johnson ran 7.14 seconds. Johnson also competed in the 200 and clocked a 22.72 mark. 

Freshman Luke Bracket ran 8.80 seconds in the 60-meter hurdles, while junior Joshua Otten clocked a mile time of 4:17.26. 

The Titans will be back in action next Friday at the Silverstein Invitational hosted by Michigan. It will be the final tune-up before the #HLTF Indoor Championships on March 1-2.
