Detroit Mercy (13-13, 7-11 HL) hung tough in the first half as the Titans ripped off a 10-0 run after trailing 11-4 to start the game to pull within a point at 19-18 after the first quarter.
Burton connected on a jumper, followed by a bucket from McQueen that halted a 10-0 PFW (22-6, 17-1 HL) run to end the second quarter only trailing by seven points at the break, 37-30.
The third quarter proved to be the difference in the game as the Dons' offense exploded, outscoring UDM 33-13 by shooting a blistering 68.4% (13-for-19) and 66.6% (6-for-9) from 3-point range. Conversely, the Titans only shot 38.4% to trail 55-38.
The Dons hot shooting continued in the fourth quarter which prevented any type of UDM comeback.
