Thundercloud Strikes For Four As Titans Falter At Home

DETROIT (3/29/2025) -- Redshirt freshman Marcus Thundercloud was the offense for the Titans with a team-high four goals, but an early deficit was too much to overcome as the University of Detroit Mercy men's lacrosse team fell, 8-5, to Le Moyne on a rainy Saturday afternoon.

Freshman Andrew Parker added the other score and picked up three ground balls, while senior Aidan Bishop registered an assist.

Senior Ryan Richters made eight saves and had three ground balls and a caused turnover. Junior Kyle Grant had a team-high three caused turnovers and a team-best four ground balls, while freshman Ian Greenwell had a takeaway and two GB's.

Le Moyne (6-3, 3-0 NEC) jumped out to a 3-0 lead less than five minutes into the game and led 5-0 midway through the second before Thundercloud scored his first. Grant then had a caused turnover, leading to Parker beating the keeper to make it 5-2 with 2:11 remaining, and that is the way it stayed heading into the half.

Thundercloud rang in his second early in the third and notched his hat trick late in the period to pull the team within three at 7-4. Bishop then set up Thundercloud and he whipped in his fourth at the 7:15 mark in the fourth to make it 8-5.

The Titans were outshot, 34-29, but held the Dolphins scoreless on four extra-man opportunities. UDM was also 18-of-20 on clears.

Detroit Mercy will hit the road next week to Virginia to face VMI.
