Titans Take Three Weekly NEC Awards

BRIDGEWATER, N.J. (4/28/2025)  -- The final week of Northeast Conference play saw the Titans take it to Cleveland State and with that, the conference honored three Titans on Monday.

Senior Chase Mahabir was tabbed the Co-Player of the Week, the third time this year he has been named the POW. Redshirt freshman Marcus Thundercloud was named the Rookie of the Week for the fourth time, while senior Ryan Richters was awarded the Defensive Player of the Week.

Mahabir led the Titans offensively with a career-best eight points on four goals and a career-best four assists in the 15-4 NEC postseason-clinching victory at Cleveland State. It was his fifth hat trick this season, while the eight points are tied for the third most in school history and the most by a Titan since 2019.

Thundercloud was on the attack again and tallied a season-best five points on four goals and one assist, his fourth hat trick of the year. He ended the year with multi-goals in seven straight games, including back-to-back four-goal outbursts.

Richters earned his first-ever conference award after finishing with 19 saves and giving up a career-low four goals - the fewest goals by the Titans since 2018 - in the postseason-clinching win.

The Titans will be the fourth seed in the conference tournament and will play top-seeded Le Moyne on Thursday.
