Tapp, Monroe To Serve As Horizon League SAAC Representatives

DETROIT (6/2/2025) -- The University of Detroit Mercy will have two outstanding student-athletes working with the Horizon League as the conference revealed its #HLSAAC for the 2025-26 academic year.

Women's golf junior Gabriella Tapp and men's soccer sophomore Colin Monroe earned the honor from the Titans.

Tapp took part in seven events and led the team with an 80.31 average, recording three top-20 finishes. Monroe appeared in seven games, making five starts, as a rookie and tallied 13 saves.

Horizon League SAAC will participate in an in-person meeting in early June and will continue to meet over several videoconferences throughout the academic year.

Each of the League's member institutions is represented by two student-athletes on the Student-Athlete Advisory Committee.

Additionally, SAAC members will serve as Cabinet members in the Horizon League governance structure, while two student-athletes will also represent the student-athlete voice and hold one vote on the League Council alongside all 11 Athletics Directors, one Faculty Athletics Representative, and one Senior Woman Administrator.
