LOUISVILLE (7/2/2025) -- Senior Chase Mahabir added one final award to his collegiate career as he was selected as an All-American Scholar by the United States Intercollegiate Lacrosse Association.
He is the ninth Titan to achieve the academic distinction, following Kyle Loken (2024), Luke Majick (2024), Ryan Birney (2023), Paul Manuszak (2022), Alex Akins (2021), Matthew Vangalen (2019), Paul Bitetti(2016), and Jordan Houtby (2013).
He was also one of six student-athletes from the Northeast Conference to receive the award.
A Biology major, Mahabir was a First Team All-NEC performer this past season, leading the team with a career-high 37 points (seventh in the NEC), 25 goals (ninth in the NEC), and 12 assists (tied for 10th in the NEC). He ranked eighth in the NEC with 2.85 points per game and 10th in the NEC, as well as 85th in the nation, with 1.92 goals per game.
He helped the Titans reach the NEC championship and tie a school record with five-straight wins on the year, tallying five hat tricks, with four in NEC action, including the last three games of the regular season.
