DETROIT (7-27-25) – Detroit Mercy Men's Soccer Head Coach
Nate Kopunek has added three newcomers in
Rex Pearce,
Evan Peleska, and
Ryan Sommerfeld, completing the roster for the upcoming 2025 season.
"We are extremely excited about these three transfer additions, and on top of being fantastic additions on the field, most importantly, they all have extremely high character," said Kopunek.
"Ryan is a forward coming from an exceptional Ohio Northern program, where he was an all-American, helping them to multiple NCAA appearances," added Kopunek. "Rex is another attacking player that is extremely versatile with the ability to impact the score sheet in the run of play and on dead balls. Finally, Evan is someone we recruited back in high school, who joins us from UMKC, which had a great run in the NCAA tournament last year. We are excited to finally get him here as a titan, as he will bring the ability to build the game for us as a central midfielder with a great engine."
"Throughout the recruiting process, we got to know these individuals quite well, and we feel they will hit the ground running right away when they get to Titan Territory."
