Jasmine Edwards delivered another impressive performance, scoring a Titan career-high 21 points on 7-for-9 shooting and 7-for-11 from the free throw line with eight rebounds as Detroit Mercy battled, but fell 82-71 due to a late fourth quarter run at Wright State on Friday night at the Nutter Center.

Detroit Mercy (4-9, 2-2 HL) dominated the glass 40-27, with 13 offensive boards leading to a 12-4 second-chance advantage. Both teams were even with 42 points in the paint. However, turnovers proved to be the difference in the game as Wright State (6-10, 2-3 HL) got 23 points off 21 UDM turnovers while the Titans had 11 points off 11 CSU turnovers.
Both team defenses were on point to open the game as Detroit Mercy took an 11-7 lead at the 2:44 mark of the first quarter. The Raiders got on track, going on a 10-1 run to close out the frame with a 17-12 lead.
WSU's run extended to 17-2 into the second quarter to move ahead by 10 points, 24-14, at the 7:45 mark. The Titans battled back to trail by nine points, 39-30, at the break.
UDM opened the third quarter on a 13-5 run to pull within four points, 47-43, by the 5:24 media timeout. Mastriano and Davis then sank back-to-back triples, tying the game at 50-50 at the 3:17 mark. Mastriano was then fouled on a 3-point attempt and sank one free throw, giving the Titans their first lead since the first quarter at 53-52. Burrell sank a pair of free throws before the Raiders connected on a layup with 13 seconds left, tying the game at 56-56 going into the fourth quarter.
Hooper made a layup, giving the Titans a 58-56 lead to open the fourth quarter. Both teams continued to trade baskets back and forth over the next six minutes, with WSU leading 68-64 after a pair of free throws at the 4:20 mark. Edwards then added a layup and a free throw, pulling UDM within a point at 68-67. However, the Raiders outscored the Titans 14-4 over the last 3:29 to secure their second league win.
