Lincoln Floyd each recorded a shot on goal as Detroit Mercy came up short in a defensive battle at Green Bay, 1-0, on Saturday afternoon at Festival Foods Field at Aldo Santaga Stadium.
Green Bay (3-5-3, 2-1-2 HL) held a 7-1 shots advantage in the first half, but Junior
Colin Monroe kept the Phoenix off the board as the game remained scoreless at the half.

Quinn Tews started the second half in relief. However, GB took a 1-0 lead just 3:33 minutes into the frame. Tews finished the game with three saves.
Floyd made a bid for the equalizer in the 67th minute, but couldn't cash it in.
Kadiu had Detroit Mercy's (2-7-2, 1-3 HL) best scoring chance in 10 minutes late in the 77th minute. He got the ball in space just outside the box and launched a rocket shot through traffic that forced the GB goalkeeper to make a diving save, pushing the ball out of bounds. The Titans couldn't get the equalizer on the ensuing corner kick.
