DETROIT (2-22-25) – Junior Arturo Rangel (Epee) led the way for the Detroit Mercy men's fencing team with a fourth-place individual finish, while senior Shana Dupin (Foil) placed ninth on the women's side at the 2026 Central Collegiate Fencing Championships hosted by Denison at the Mitchell Athletic Center.
 
Meet Highlights:
• Rangel went 4-2 in pool play to advance for a fourth-place finish.
• Mysiorek also went 4-2 in pool play to advance for an eighth-place finish.
• Dupin posted a 2-4 mark in pool play for a ninth-place finish.
• The women's Sabre team posted 5-4 wins over Lawrence and Wayne State.
