St. Clair Nabs Another NEC Weekly Honor

Redshirt junior Cooper St. Clair earned another weekly NEC award.
EDISON, N.J. (4/20/2026) -- For the second-straight week, the Titans stayed alive for a playoff spot, and the defense played a big part as University of Detroit Mercy men's lacrosse redshirt junior Cooper St. Clair was honored as the Co-Defensive Player of the Week.

St. Clair shared the award with VMI goalie Adam Norris after taking the award all to himself last week.

The defense helped stifle the Mercyhurst offense to just one goal in the first half and six total in the 11-6 victory. St. Clair made five saves in the first period and finished with 14 in the game, as he has now posted double-digit saves in 10 of the 12 games and allowed less than 10 goals in five of the six NEC contests.

On the year, St. Clair has 168 saves, seventh in school history for a single season. He currently leads the NEC and is fourth in the country with 14.00 saves per game, and second in the league and 14th in the nation with a .553 save percentage.

The Titans will battle VMI on Saturday in a must-win game to keep UDM in the hunt for the final playoff spot.
