Detroit Mercy (3-4-1, 1-0 HL) wasted little time to get on the board as Pepper took a feed from freshman
Auden Stauffer into the box and put home a shot just 1:28 into the game.
In the 13th minute, Mondoux went into the box, eluded a tackle from a defender, and fired a shot into the upper 90, giving the Titans a 2-0 lead.
Just 2:54 seconds into the second half, Jakubowski got the ball in space just outside the right side of the box and launched a long-range strike into the net for the icing on the cake.
Hill made two saves down the stretch to keep the Mastodons (1-6-1, 0-1 HL) at bay and preserve the blank sheet.
