Is one of a young team’s veteran players, with two years and 14 college tournament finishes under his belt… A talented player who waited until going well into his teens to start playing golf… Came to UDM as the first Titan ever to have registered a victory in an American Junior Golf Association tournament… A long driver who added even more to his distance over the summer months… Earned a spot on the Detroit Athletic Director's Honor Roll... Also a part of UDM's Student-Athlete Advisory Committee (SAAC).
2013-14:
Was All-Horizon League for the second-straight season, becoming just the 10th Titan to win multiple conference honors… Led the squad and finished second in the Horizon League with a 73.6 average, the fourth-straight year he lowered his season average and a number that ranks sixth in school history… He shot in the 70’s in all 25 rounds with one score in the 60’s and posted a team-best eight rounds at par or better… Had six top-20 tournaments and placed in the top 10 three times, while leading the Titans on three occasions… Was Horizon League All-Tournament for the second-straight year taking runner-up at the Horizon League Championship with a 220 (76-74-70), just two shots behind the leader and the highest finish by a Titan since David Byrne won it in 2007… Ended his collegiate career with a 2-under 70 in the final round as he made a run for the crown… Tied for 21st at the Red Flash Invitational with a 154 (78-76)… Finished in a tie for 14th at the Bradley Invite with a 148 (74-74)… Shared 14th at the Bobby Nichols Intercollegiate with a 219 (71-72-76)… Twice tied his career 54-hole record in the fall, starting with a 214 (73-73-68) for a share of ninth at Missouri’s Turning Stone Tiger Intercollegiate… The 4-under 68 in the final round was also his career best… Tallied a 214 (70-73-71) and tied for ninth at the Cleveland State Invitational, and in that event, he carded a 2-under 70 on the opening 18 and a 1-under 71 to end the tournament… Tied for the team lead by sharing 28th at the Wolverine Intercollegiate with a 220 (70-79-71)… Posted his another top-20 finish to end the fall tying for 18th with a 221 (73-73-75) total at the Bearcat Invitational… Ended his Titan career with 17 top-20 finishes and eight top-10 efforts and is fifth in school history with a 75.13 average.2012-13:
Earned All-Horizon League and All-Tournament for the first time in his career… Ended his junior season with a team-best 74.5 average, good for 13th in school history… 22 of his 25 rounds were in the 70’s with a pair of career-low 69’s… Was in the starting line-up in all nine events and 25 rounds on the links, leading the team in four events, while tying for the Titan low man in another… Had seven top-20 finishes and four top-10 efforts… Set or tied his career high for a round, 36 and 54-hole tournament… Posted a 223 (76-71-76) tying for fifth at the Horizon League Championship… Started the season with a 224 (82- 73-69) for a share of 18th at the D.A. Weibring Intercollegiate, with his third-round 69 a career best… He posted his second career top-10 finish tying for ninth at the Bearcat Invitational with a 217 (70-72-75)... Carded a 36-hole best 148 (76-72) at Dayton for a share of 15th… Tied that 148 (75-73) at the Bobby Nichols Intercollegiate tying for eighth… Was under par twice at the Detroit Titans Invitational finishing runner-up with a career-best 214 (70-75-69), which included a 3-under 69 on the final 18… That performance led him to be named the Horizon League Player of the Week... His 75.74 average through three years is seventh in school history.
2011-12:
Third on the Titans with a 75.7 average, taking part in eight of UDM’s nine tournaments…22 of his 23 rounds were in the 70’s, with 12 rounds of 75 or lower…Had three top-20 finishes, all in the spring…His best tournament was tying for 12th with a career-best 215 (70, 75, 70) at the NYX Hoosier Invitational…The pair of one-under 70’s was also a career-low…Claimed 19th at the Horizon League Championship by shooting a 231 (78, 76, 77), and also took 20th at the Butler Invitational with a 153 (78, 75)…Placed 25th at the Detroit Titans Invitational with a 227 (73, 79, 75)…Started the year carding a 226 (78, 74, 74) at Michigan’s Wolverine Intercollegiate, tying for 45th place…Just outside the top 20 sharing 22nd at DePaul’s John Dallio totaling a 227 (77, 75, 75)…Carded his best round of the fall with a one-over 73 at Bowling Green, ending in a tie for 31st with a 234 (84, 73, 77).
2010-11:
Saw action in seven events before a wrist injury ended his season prior to the Horizon League Championship…Totaled a 77.7 stroke average in 14 rounds…Competed in four of the five fall tournaments… Made his collegiate debut ending in a tie for 24th with a 229 (72, 79, 78) at the John Dallio Memorial…Best three-round score for the year was a 222 (75, 72, 75) for a share of 37th at the Georgetown Intercollegiate, while his best 18-hole effort was a 71 in the Dual vs. Oakland...Had a pair of 78’s ending in a share of 38th with a 156 at the Butler Spring Invitational…Shot an 82 at the Warren Golf Course in Notre Dame’s Battle at the Warren…Played just one round of the Titans Invitational before withdrawing due to injury.
Personal:
Signed with UDM in November of 2009 following a successful final year of junior golf in Canada… Finished 18th on the RCGA’s national Junior Order of Merit thanks to a string of 2009 successes… Was runner-up at the International Junior Masters that summer after reaching the semi-finals one year earlier... Was also sixth at the Ontario Junior Spring Classic, sixth at the International Greens and Dreams Invitational, 10th at the CN Future Links Ontario and 11th at the Ontario Junior Championship in 2009... Additionally, crossed into the U.S. to capture the 2009 AJGA Flossmoor Junior Open in his first entry into an AJGA event and against a field which boasted players from 14 states in the U.S., Canada, Chile, Guatemala, Mexico and Thailand...
