2019 Outdoor:
  • Selected the Horizon League Outdoor Athlete of the Year
  • Won the Horizon LeagueĀ 5000m in a conference record 14:23.94 and placed 21st in the NCAA East Preliminary Round in the 10,000m with a run of 30:06.Ā 
  • Started the outdoor season by registering a time of 29:00.15 in the 10,000-meters at the Stanford Invitational, good for seventh place and earning a spot in the NCAA Track and Field Preliminary Round
  • Won the mile in the Detroit Mercy-Oakland Dual in 4:12.08 and took sixth in the 5000m at the Bison Outdoor Classic with a time of 14:13.18 and ninth in the Drake Relays in 14:15.56

2018 Outdoor:
  • Team MVP
  • Placed 20th at theĀ NCAA RegionalsĀ in the 10,000-meters with a time of 30:06.40,Ā just 30 seconds off qualifying for the NCAA Championships
  • Broke the school record in the 10,000 meters earlier in the seasonĀ finishing 23rd at the Stanford Invitational with a time of 29:24.87
  • WasĀ runner-up in the 10,000-meters at the Horizon League Outdoor Track & Field Championship with a time of 30:05.59, while also finishing fourth with a time of 14:45.37 in the 5,000-meter run
  • Claimed third place in the 5,000m at the Bison Classic with a time of 14:15.14, which is also a new outdoorĀ record at Detroit Mercy
  • Also took second place in the 1500m at the Pacesetter Invitational with a mark of 3:57.52

2018 Indoor:
  • Took gold in 3,000m at HL Indoor Championships while setting a new PR of 8:17.21
  • Claimed second place in the mile and 3000m at the Fort Wayne Duals
  • Set a PR and moved to #3 in Titan History at Silverston Invitational
  • Broke his own Titan record in 3,000m with a mark of 8:19.86 at Jet's Pizza Invitational
  • Personal record in 5000m at Windsor Team Challenge with a mark of 14:07.43

2017 Outdoor:
  • Redshirt

2017 Indoor:
  • Champion and First Team All-Horizon League in 3,000m with first-place finish of 8:22.42 at HL Indoor Championships
  • Also placed 4th in 5,000m at HL meet
  • Recorded four wins and three runner-up efforts while setting career bests in the mile, 3k and 5k
  • Posted a 3,000m PR and finished secondĀ at YSU National Invite with time of 8:20.99
  • Set 5,000m PR and finished second at GVSU Big Meet with a time of 14:10.10
  • Recorded a mile PR and finished second at GVSU Mike Lints Alumni Open with a mark of 4:13.31

2016 Outdoor:
  • Runner-up and Second Team All-Horizon League in 10,000m with 2nd place finish of 30:44.73 at HL Outdoor Championships, with a fifth place 5,000m mark of 14:44.54
  • 5,000m PR of 14:17.87 for thirdĀ at Bison Outdoor Classic, nearly four seconds faster than his own Detroit record
  • 10,000m PR of 29:56.52 for 13th at Virginia Challenge, topping his previous Detroit record and becoming the first Titan to break the 30-minute barrier

2016 Indoor:
  • Finished in the top five of all seven of his events, including two wins and three top-three finishes
  • Placed fourth in 5,000m with time of 14:40.50 and fourthĀ in 3,000m with mark of 8:25.22 at HL Indoor Championships
  • 3,000m PR of 8:21.33 (Titan record) for a victory at the YSU National Invite
  • 5,000m PR of 14:21.69 for fifth at GVSU Big Meet, topping his previous Detroit record
  • Mile PR of 4:19.14 for fourth at GVSU Bob Eubanks Open

2015 Outdoor:
  • Finished sixth or better in all five of his events, including three in the top-three
  • Won the 10,000m in 31:44.78 to earn First Team All-Horizon League accolades at HL Outdoor Championships, while adding a sixth-Ā place finish with a mark of 15:25.65 in the 5,000m
  • 3,000m best of 8:47.61 for secondĀ at Winthrop Invitational
  • 5,000m best of 14:22.49 (Titan record) for third at 49th Hillsdale College Gina Relays
  • 10,000m best of 30:06.29for fourth at Bison Outdoor Classic

2015 Indoor:
  • Finished sixth or better in all all eight of his events, including four top-two finishes
  • Placed thirdĀ with 3,000m of 8:23.91 (#2 Titan, rookie record) and fourthĀ with 5,000m of 14:53.92 at HL Indoor Championships
  • 5,000m best of 14:37.08 for first and finished runner-up in the 3,000m (8:26.53) at YSU National Invite
  • Added 3,000m wins at Simmons-Harvey Invitational (8:29.78) and the SVSU Jets Pizza Invitational (8:27.68)
  • Mile best of 4:19.49 for fourth at theĀ GVSU Tune Up

High School:
  • A local product who spent his first three years of high school at Shrine before moving to Italy and attending the International School of Turin
  • As a senior, he placed sixth at the Italian national cross country championship as well as eighth in the 5000-meters at the Italian championships
  • At Shrine in 2012, he was All-State in cross country taking eighth at the Division 4 championship, while winning the regional title, and that was after qualifying for the states in 2010 and 2011
  • He was also All-Catholic as a freshman and the Catholic League champion as a sophomore and junior, helping his team win the Catholic League championship in 2010
  • In track, he was a regional champion in the 3200m and 4x800-meter relay and was runner-up in the 1600m as a sophomore and also took second place in the 3200m as a freshman

  • Son of Michelle and William Kendell
  • Both of his parents were student athletes and graduated from the University as his mother, Michelle Vogt, was a member of the first-ever women’s cross country team in 1984 and his dad was a fencer
  • His sister, Claire, is a freshman on the cross country and track and field team
  • An Electrical Engineering major
