PRIOR TO DETROIT: Attended Anchor Bay High School…  Lettered in football and wrestling as a prep… Was a captain for three years in football and two in wrestling… Amassed a record of 107-43 in wrestling and helped his team to three Macomb County championships and four-straight MAC Red and district championships… He was First Team All-Macomb County, All-District, All-Region and All-State as a senior.
 
PERSONAL: The son of Renee and Dave VanOverbeke… Has an older brother and sister as well as a younger brother, Chris, who is also on the UDM cheer team… Majoring in Architecture
