2014: Ran in three races on the year… Took 43rd in 22:33 at the season-opening Golden Grizzly Open… Set a 4-mile career time of 23:46 for 75th at the 28th Annual Running Fit-Detroit Titan Invitational… Earned 87th at the National Catholic Championship in 29:14… A member of the Detroit Athletic Director's Honor Roll and the Horizon League Fall Academic Honor Roll.
2013: Participated in seven of UDM’s eight races… Made his collegiate debut at the Golden Grizzly Open running 18:24 for 33rd… Was 51st at the 27th Annual Running Fit-Detroit Titan Invitational in 23:56… Clocked a 29:55 for 54th at the Penn State National… Took 54th at the Horizon League Championship in 28:22…A member of the Detroit Athletic Director's Honor Roll and the Horizon League Fall Academic Honor Roll.
2012: Redshirted and did not take part in any races… A member of the Detroit Athletic Director’s Honor Roll.
High School: A member of the track, wrestling and football teams in high school, earning a state championship in wrestling in 2012 and football in 2011...Was All-State in the 800-meters at the D1 state championships in 2012 placing sixth, while also running on the 4x400 & 4x800-meter relay teams...Named Best Distance Runner in his final year in track…Was runner-up in the D1 state championships in the 4x800 in 2011 and helped the foursome to sixth place in 2010.
Personal: Son of Laurie and Bill Carolin... Has an older brother (Nathan), two younger brothers (Matthews and Nick) and one younger sister (Katelynn)... His grandmother graduated from U-D in 1961…A Software Engineering major.
