Career Highlights:
  • 2x Detroit Mercy Athletic Director's Honor Roll (2020, 2021)
  • Horizon League Fall Academic Honor Roll (2020)
  • Horizon League Spring Academic Honor Roll (2021)

2021:
  • Was the starting shortstop in all four games
  • Her lone hit on the shortened season was a homer and she also had a team-high two runs scored to go with three walks
  • Was 1-for-2 with a homer, a run scored and two walks in the series finale at Robert Morris

2020:
  • Started all 23 games and led the team hitting .327
  • Also topped the team with nine walks and nine runs scored, tied for first with 16 hits and eight RBI and third with two home runs
  • Had a walk in her first collegiate game against North Carolina
  • Registered her first collegiate hit versus Boise State as she was 2-for-2 with a double 
  • Hit her first career homer against Illinois State
  • Was 2-for-4 with a home run and four RBI versus Northwestern State
  • Was 1-for-1 with two walks, a run scored, a RBI and two stolen bases against FIU
  • Had two hits in three at-bats with a run scored and a stolen base as well as 1-for-3 with two runs scored and a walk against North Carolina A&T
  • Finished 1-for-3 with a RBI and run scored against Niagara

Prior to Detroit Mercy: 
  • A four-year varsity letter winner in softball, basketball and volleyball
  • A four-time All-Region, All-District, All-Conference and All-Academic honoree in softball
  • All-State First Team Short-stop in 2018 and 2019
  • Tabbed BWAC MVP as a senior as she guided her team to a regional championship and a state final four appearance
  • Helped her squad to three district titles
  • Played club with the Hawks, Line Drive and ICE Blue
  • Posted a school-record 45 home runs and 187 RBI along with 196 runs in her career
  • Also holds the school record for hits in a season (76) and career (255), RBI in a season (69), home runs in a season (19), career batting average (.515) and single-season batting average (.583)
  • A member of the National Honor Society

  • Daughter of Diane and Dave Ruhlman
  • Has three siblings
  • Her older sister, Janel, plays volleyball for Siena Heights
  • Chose to attend the University of Detroit Mercy because of small class sizes, and a great community overall
