2008-09: Won first varsity letters...Recorded an overall record of 13-29...Compiles an 8-9 mark at the Midwest Fencing Conference Championships, and went 4-2 in the individual competition to finish 20th in the women’s sabre...Was named as the UDM women’s team’s Newcomer of the Year.

Prior to UDM: No fencing experience…Varsity letterwinner in basketball, volleyball and track…Named WXYZ-TV Channel 7 Student Athlete of the Week in 2007 for basketball…Also garnered four-year All-Academic honors in each sport…Member of the student government and Vice President of the National Honor Society.

Personal: Daughter of Joseph and Lorrie LaFrance…Has two sisters, Stephanie and Sara. Stephanie also attends UDM. Born August 31…Majoring in bio-chemistry.
