2012-13: Had six wins overall in first year of fencing... Placed 69th in men's foil at MFC Championships at Notre Dame (3/2-3)... Had three wins at Notre Dame Duals (2/23)... Recorded a win at the UDM Invitational (1/12)... Placed 17th in men's foil at Istvan Danosi at Wayne State (12/2)... Took home men's Pincushion Award.

Prior to Detroit: Earned two varsity letters in track and field at Huron in Ann Arbor... Earned a single letter for cross country as well.

Personal: Son of Saeid Labaf and Maryann Hakim-Azari... Has one sibling, Kourosh... Serves as a lifeguard at a community pool and saved two lives while on duty... Major is biochemistry.
