2010-11:
Ended a great Titan career by posting a 76.0 stroke average in 26 rounds, good for third best on the squad… Was in the top 10 three times and the top 20 on another two tournaments…Finished as the top Titan in three events…Tied for fourth at the John Dallio Memorial with a 219 (72, 73, 74)…Went on to claim a share of 23rd at the Georgetown Intercollegiate, carding a season-low three-round total of 218 (76, 67, 75)…Took home medalist honors in the dual against Oakland, tying for first with a 67, his second round under 70 in the fall… He also secured Detroit’s victory over the Golden Grizzles with a birdie on the final hole…Started the spring by tying for 20th at the PGA Village Invitational (163-82. 81)…Went on to share 11th (148-74, 74) at the Butler Spring Invitational and eighth (228-80, 75, 73) at the Titans Invitational…Shot the best Titan score with a 71 for eighth at Notre Dame’s Battle at the Warren…Just outside the top 20 taking 23rd with a 240 (79, 80, 81) at the Horizon League Championship…Received the Larry Bleach Award for excellence in strength and conditioning at the 2011 Titan Academic & Athletic Honors Luncheon…A four-year member of the UDM Athletic Director’s Honor Roll, and also earned his way onto the HL Fall Academic Honor Roll…
2009-10:
Really came on during the spring season as he either paced the Titans, or tied for the team individual lead, in six of their last seven events… Matched his personal best finish as he claimed second place at the Mission Inn Spring Fling in March… Immediately followed with successive Top 10 finishes at Ball State (T-7) and Indiana (T-7) and later went to share third place with teammate Jeff Clarridge at the Horizon League Championship, helping the Titans to the team title… Opened the adidas Hoosier Classic at Indiana with a career-low round of 67, one better than his previous 18-hole best… Finished the year second among the Titans with a 73.9 stroke average…
2008-09:
Grabbed some tournament hardware for the first time as he took second place at DePaul’s John Dallio Memorial early in his sophomore season… Shot a still-career-best five-under-par 211 for 54 holes with rounds of 72, 71 and a then career-low 68 in leading Detroit to third place as a team… Was named Horizon League Scholar-Athlete of the Week following that performance in Chicago… Cracked the Top 20 at the Detroit Titans Invitational with an 18th-place finish, the capped off the season by tying for fourth place at the 2009 Horizon League Championship to earn a berth on the All-Tournament Team… Move up that leader board on the final day with a clutch, even-par round of 72… Finished the season with a 75.3 stroke average to rank third among the Titans…
2007-08:
Played in all of Detroit’s 11 tournaments as a freshman and finished the year with a 75.5 stroke average… Had four Top 20 finishes that season, with a personal best of 11th place at the Horizon League Championship… Was also 12th at the Fort Lauderdale Spring Classic, 16th at DePaul and 18th at Wright State… Shot an 18-hole low round of 70 at Ball State and IPFW…
Personal:
Came up big during his Summer ’10 schedule as he reached the quarter-finals of the Ontario Men’s Match Play Championship, and finished 22nd at the Canadian Men's Amateur, 24th at the Ontario Amateur, 12th at the Toronto Star Amateur and 51st at the Glencoe Invitational... Made a great showing at the 2009 Toronto Star Amateur, finishing in sixth place… Broke through with a big win a year earlier when he captured the 2008 Ontario Champion of Champions title… Also finished 13th at the Toronto Star… Ended that year ranked 31st among men’s amateurs in his native province by the Golf Association of Ontario… Signed with UDM in November of 2006, early in his final year in high school... From the same hometown as 2008 Titan co-captain Mikhial Pasic... Finished the 2007 summer season ranked 15th in Canada on the RCGA Junior Boys Order of Merit... Finished seventh at the Ontario Junior Boys Championship and 10th at the Canadian Junior in 2007... In men's amateur competition, came in 39th at the Ontario Am, while reaching the second round of match play at the Canadian Championships... Went to a playoff for medalist at the Highland Amateur in 2007, a year after finishing runner-up in the same London-area tournament... Was runner-up at the WOSSA championship in his final high school golf season... Ended the summer of 2006 ranked 14th among junior boys by the Golf Association of Ontario... Finished eighth at the 2006 Ontario Junior, 13th at the Junior Tournament of Champions and 17th at the Ontario Future Links Championship, while also helping Team Ontario win the annual Williamson Cup matches... Current Titan teammate Jeff Clarridge was also a member of that victorious Ontario squad... Finished 57th at the Ontario Men's Amateur that summer as well... Won the 2002 Ontario Bantam Championship as a 13-year-old, and is also a past winner of the Tyson Tour, a championship previously claimed by Pasic as well as current PGA Tour standout Mike Weir... Captained his high school ice hockey team... His brother, Blake, played college hockey at Queens University before moving on to a professional career in The Netherlands... Pronk's father, Bob, was a five-time Canadian wrestling champion... Majoring in Business Administration and was inducted into the Beta Gamma Sigma honor society in 2010…
