• Started the year tying for 43rd with a 221 (76-70-75) at the EKU Colonel Shootout, which included a career-best 1-under 70 in the second round

• Led the squad by tying for 21st at the Xavier Invitational with a career-best 219 (73-73-73)
• Tied for 60th at the Wright State Invitational by totaling a 221 (74-76-71), ending the event with an even-par 71 in the final round
• Took 43rd at the Horizon League Championship with a 238 (77-78-83)
• Finished his Titan career with a 75.08 average in 39 rounds and a pair of top-20 efforts

2023-24:

• Started all five events he saw action in and was fourth on the team with a 75.73 average
• Shot in the 70's in 13 of his 15 rounds
• Began his Titan career tying for 48th with a 229 (76-76-77) at the Earl Yestingsmeier Invitational
• Posted his only top 20 effort of the season tying for 20th at the Valpo Fall Invitational with a 227 (76-75-76)
• Shot a season-low 221 (71-73-77) and tied for 41st at The Buddy, which included a season-best even-par 71 in the first round

At Lake Superior State:

• Played two years at Lake Superior State and started all 18 events in his two seasons, finishing in the top 10 on eight occasions 
• Tallied a 75.84 average in 39 rounds of golf and recorded six top-10 finishes
• As a sophomore, he was named All-GLIAC Honorable Mention after posting a 75.2 average
• Led his team at the Arendsen Invitational with a career-tying 230 (76-78-76) as a sophomore
• Tied for ninth at the LTU Blue Devil Classic with a 36-hole career-tying 145 (75-70), which included a career-best even-par 70 in the final round
• As a freshman, he posted a 76.4 average in 20 rounds
• Made his collegiate debut with a three-round score of 230 (77-79-74) at the Arendsen Invitational
• Led his team at the Al Watrous Invitational with a two-day total of 146 (72-74)

Personal:

• Competed in golf, badminton, basketball and soccer at Bishop Carroll High School
• Competed in the IMG Jr. Worlds on three occasions and finished T27 in 2017
• Son of Ronda and Tom Banic
• Has a younger brother and sister
• Chose Detroit Mercy because of the opportunity to compete in collegiate athletics at the highest level and receive a top education
• Majoring in Accounting
