Summary

Biography

Knill Up Close:
A newcomer who is working his way into the college game... Is in a dogfight for a spot in the regular playing rotation as a freshman at UDM... Has a wealth of playing experience and an additional background in the game through a string of golf professionals in his family...
In The Fall:
Played in three tournaments for Detroit during the fall season… His best 18-hole score, a 71, came in his first competitive round as a Titan… That was at Michigan State’s Spartan Classic…
Personal:
Signed with the Titans in November of 2007, right after winning the Ontario (OFSSA) high school individual championship... Had a great familiarity with the Detroit roster since his high school classmate, Jeff Clarridge, was already at UDM, playing for the Titans… Knill, Clarridge and a third Titan, Britt Pronk, were all part of an Ontario squad which won the 2006 Williamson Cup, an annual international junior golf event for four-man teams from the United States and Canada… Finished the 2007 season ranked 12th among junior golfers in Ontario and 38th in the final provincial men's amateur rankings… Also stood 69th nationally in the Royal Canadian Golf Association's junior boys Order of Merit… Knill was seventh at the 2007 CN Future Links Ontario Championship and 28th at the Ontario Men's Amateur… He also reached the quarter-finals of the 2007 Ontario Junior Match Play Championship before being ousted by, ironically enough, future Titan teammate Pronk… Majoring in Engineering…
