2019-20

  • Started all six tournaments and was second on the team with a 75.00 average in 17 rounds out on the links
  • 14 of his 17 rounds were in the 70's and added another two rounds in the 60's
  • Finished in the top two on the team in five tournaments, leading the squad once, with a pair of top-20 efforts
  • Claimed 11th with a career-low 143 (75-68), registering a career-tying 2-under 68 in the final round
  • Tied for 18th at the Orlando Invitational with a 230 (75-78-77)
  • Shared 22nd at the Crusader Collegiate with a season-low 219 (77-73-69)
  • Also tied for 22nd at the NKU Collegiate Classic with a 222 (75-73-74) 
  • Currently 12th in school history with a 75.81 average in 96 rounds of golf


2018-19

  • Started all nine of the tournaments he saw action in and was third on the team with a 76.48 average
  • Shot in the 70's in 21 of his 26 rounds with two rounds at par or better
  • Led the team in three events and was third in another three tournaments
  • Began the year with a 224 (74-76-74) and shared 27th at the Turning Stone Tiger Intercollegiate
  • Placed 26th with a 227 (76-78-73) at the NKU Fall Collegiate Classic
  • Led the team and tied for 30th at the Butler Spring Invitational with a 148 (73-75)
  • Carded a career-best 215 (69-72-74), starting with a 2-under 69 in the first round, and tied for 19th at the Big Blue Invitational
  • Topped the team at the Horizon League Championship with a 229 (79-70-80) and shot a 2-under 70 in the second round, placing 19th overall

2017-18
  • All-Horizon League Second Team
  • In the starting line-up for all nine events and led the team with a 75.7 average, 13th in the Horizon League
  • Shot in the 70’s in 22 of his 26 rounds, including in 18-straight rounds to end the year, and was par or better in three rounds
  • Topped the team in seven tournaments with two overall top-20 finishes and one top-10 effort
  • Shot a 227 (75-72-80) and tied for 35th at the NKU Fall Collegiate Classic
  • Shared the team lead and tied for ninth overall with a 225 (77-73-75) at the Titans Motown Collegiate
  • Tied his career-best 54-hole score with a 219 (76-71-72) and tied for 22nd at the Bobby Nichols Intercollegiate, firing a 1-under 71 in round two and an even-par 72 on the final 18

2016-17
  • Started all 11 events and finished second on the team with a 75.90 average, good for 15th in the HL and tops among all league rookies
  • Shot in the 70’s or 60’s in 26 of his 28 rounds
  • Was in the top three on the team in nine events, leading the team twice, while registering four top-20 efforts and a top-10 mark
  • Started his career leading the team at the Notre Dame Kick-Off Challenge, tying for 12th with a 147 (74-73)
  • Shared 12th at the Bulldog Florida Invitational shooting a 152 (77-75)
  • Carded a career-low 4-under 68 in the second round of the Bobby Nichols Intercollegiate, tying for 26th overall with a 226 (83-68-75)
  • Tallied a season-best 224 tying for 13th at the Big Blue Intercollegiate (224 (73-75-76)
  • Placed 26th at the Horizon League Championship with a 234 (78-80-76)

Personal
  • A four-year varsity letter winner in golf and a three-time team captain
  • Received the 2016 “National Scholar Athlete” award presented by the Army
  • One of the top high school players in the state, he was named to the Michigan High School All-State “Super Team” as a senior as he won six of the nine tournaments he played in – finishing runner-up in the other three – while tallying a 71.9 average
  • Won the Michigan Division 3 Championship as a sophomore and a senior firing a 5-under 67 in the first round of both events
  • Won his sophomore title by seven strokes and his senior trophy by six
  • All-Catholic and All-County all four years and All-State as a sophomore, junior and senior
  • He won four-straight regional championships and guided his team to four regional titles, a fifth-place effort in the state finals in 2015, sixth in 2014 and seventh in 2013
  • Posted 11 victories in his high school career and set a career low with a 64 at the Greystone Golf Club
  • Finished in the top 10 at American Junior Golf Association (AJGA) events in 2014 and 2015 as well as top five in a Golfweek Junior Tour event in 2014
  • Won the 2014 Orchards Golf Club Men's Championship and placed in the top five at the Golf Association of Michigan's Junior Invitational in 2015
  • No stranger to the Detroit Mercy program as he is the younger brother of Brian Sparks, who played golf for the Titans from 2006-2010 and helped Detroit win the Horizon League Championship and advance to the NCAA Regionals in 2007 and 2010
