2015-16:
Played in five games – all during the non-conference campaign… Averaged 1.4 points and 2.4 rebounds with six blocks in just 32 minutes of court time… Made his collegiate debut in the season opener against Central State and finished with three blocks and two rebounds… Swatted away another two shots and had a rebound at Pittsburgh… Tallied nine rebounds with six points against UM-Dearborn… Rejected a shot at nationally-ranked Vanderbilt… 

HIGH SCHOOL:
A three-year varsity letter winner on the hardwood playing for longtime college coach LaMonta Stone… Selected Class B Third-Team All-State as well as Honorable Mention Area All-West by the Detroit News… Averaged 15 points, 10 rebounds and 3.0 blocks per game as a senior and posted season highs on the season with 24 points in a victory over Romulus and 17 rebounds with 17 points in a win over Detroit University Prep Science and Math… Guided his team to a regional semifinals appearance and 18 wins on the year, ranking ninth in the final MLive boy's basketball poll… Played AAU for the Michigan Playmakers.
 
PERSONAL:
Son of Michele and Jay Gibson… His mom played basketball at Mississippi Valley State and his dad played basketball at Navy… Has an older sister... Chose Detroit because he wanted to stay close to home and he loved the coaching staff… Undecided on major.
