John Ploskonka joined the Titan softball program in the fall of 2021 as a volunteer assistant softball coach.
“John enjoyed a lot of success at the high school level, and similar to coach Steve Troy a couple of years ago, he was ready to take the step into college coaching," said head coach Marc Gillis. "Both have great knowledge and a large contact base from their years in the Catholic League and as a Jesuit University, one of our goals is to attract more players from the CHSL."
Ploskonka was a longtime head coach at Madison Heights Bishop Foley Catholic for 17 years (2004-2021). He was selected Catholic League Coach of the Year twice as he led his program to eight district championships and one catholic league title.
He also coached in three MHSCCA All-Star games and under his tutelage, he had six student-athletes earn First Team All-State honors and 11 tabbed Honorable Mention All-State.
