Taylor Farmer was named an assistant coach for the Titans in the fall of 2021 and will assist in coaching and everyday softball operations along with recruiting.
“Taylor is a strong clinician and instructor and brings a great energy to practices and team events that our players really enjoy," said head coach Marc Gillis. "She is not that far removed from her playing career, which enables her to provide sound advice for players in connection with the grind of being a student-athlete."
Farmer joins the program after spending last year as an assistant with Adrian College, where the Bulldogs' hitters increased their team batting average, home runs, slugging percentage and on-base percentage from the previous season. She also coached one All-MIAA selection and had 19 players receive NFCA All American scholars.
A 2020 graduate of Ohio Dominican University and the 2020 ODU Female Athlete of the Year, she was a four-year starter and received GMAC All-Conference honors in 2018 and 2019. She also was a member of the 2019 GMAC Regular Season Champion team and ended her career with 18 home runs and 87 RBIs for the Panthers.
She has been involved in coaching softball since 2016, where she was a youth softball coach for the Riverdale Youth Fastpitch Softball Association. During her three-season stint, she served as head coach for a variety of teams ranging from 10U-18U. In 2017, she was also a volunteer coach for the Ohio Hawks (16U) and Finesse (12U).
Farmer graduated in 2020 from Ohio Dominican University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Sport Management and Business Administration and a MBA with a concentration in Leadership.
